I am Thankful for....{giveaway}

 Over the past *almost* two years (gasp!  Has it really been that long???!!!) I have immersed myself in the world of blogging.  It has been nothing short of amazing.  The blogging community is such a fantastic and inspiring group of teachers.  I have grown as a teacher, improved my craft, and shared a bit of it with you all along the way.

So as a token of my appreciation to you for joining me on this journey, I have teamed up with 14 of my bloggy friends to bring you a downright awesome giveaway.

First and foremost, as a blogger, I am thankful of course for you all.  Thank you for reading and commenting on my blog. 

As a teacher, though, I am thankful for anything and everything that makes my life easier.  The things that I have used in my room that I can count on to not only be spot on with the lesson but also are ready to go.  In math, the Spiral Homework and Quizzes, as well as Calendar Math do both of those things.  It is because of those two programs that I NEVER EVER EVER worry about math.  So, I am giving away a copy of either the 4th grade or 5th grade Calendar Math Starter Kit and your choice of 3rd, 4th, or 5th grade Math Spiral Homework (the entire years' worth.)  In Language Arts, Paragraph of the Week does that for me.  So, if you win, it is yours. 

And just because I am IN LOVE with the Peppermint Hot Chocolate that comes out this time of year, I am throwing in a $25 gift card to Starbucks.  I know that my quality time is made SO much better with a little peppermint in my hand :)

    I am thankful to know that there are still kind people everywhere, no matter where you look. I am also thankful for Alex Sheen for giving up his job to start a non-profit organization to carry on the message his dad taught him, KEEP YOUR PROMISE.

    In the society we live in today, more often than not, promises are made, but never kept. Alex wants to reinstill this precious lesson back into our society with his promise cards, and for that, I am thankful!

    This may sound selfish--but this affects my whole family. I am thankful for my health. I have had cancer twice during November and was violently ill two years ago this November, so I am very thankful for my good health this Thanksgiving.

    I'm very thankful for my father who suffered a stroke in April. He has managed to work on physical therapy to regain most functioning on his right side. We will all be blubbering at the Thanksgiving table this year!!!

    I am thankful for my health. I have had cancer twice and both times was sick over Thanksgiving and Christmas. My family is equally as happy as now I can be with them over the holidays.

    I am thankful to work with a staff that acts as a family. Our cook passed away a few days ago and we all came together as one o get through it and support her family. We are blessed to have each other.

    I am thankful for my husband who encourages me to take risks. He isn't the risk taker, he's the caretaker. I am thankful for my family & friends. I a also thankful for my health. I have friends who are not as healthy as I am and their daily strength makes me feel lucky.

    I am thankful for having appreciative students. The moments when students really appreciate you are like gold! Today, I had one of those moments, when I read a student's writing, it really hit me that the kiddo really understood me and cared about me. It's a great feeling!
